VÍCTOR GARCÍA PICHARDO


MEXICAN COMPOSER

In 1992, in the city of Tijuana, he enrolled in the musical workshops of the Baja California Orchestra, where he began studying violin with Gela Dubrova. In 1994 he moved to Morelia and enrolled at the Conservatorio de las Rosas and continued his violin studies with Maestra Dubrova as well as with Erika Dobosiewicz (1995-1996). He did his undergraduate studies under the direction of Luis Jaime Cortéz with a major in composition.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES


COMMERCIAL ENDEAVOURS

He performed composing and arrangement duties for the 2011 album “BORDER REVOLVER” by Nortec Collective: Hiperboreal, and composed music for two documentaries by Octavio Maya: “PEQUEÑOS GIGANTES” (2011) and “WHERE TIME STANDS STILL” (2013), the former being included in the 7th Festival Internacional de Cine de Acapulco. In 2013 he wrote the music for the opening ceremonies of the NATIONAL YOUTH OLYMPICS at the Baja California Convention Center as well as orchestral arrangements for the Sinfónica Juvenil de Tijuana.
